Bobby Davis is a serial entrepreneur, he has been involved in multiple start-ups. With his custom technology development consulting group is a Microsoft Gold Partner. As a consultant he leads efforts to design, build, and deploy applications for companies. Also, through his consulting practice, he has been providing IT job placement in the region for the past fifteen years. He has extensive experience in training, mentoring and developing IT talent. Bobby holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UNCG.

Lynn Yanyo, CEO – Tiger Eye Sensor, Inc.

Dr. Lynn Yanyo, Chief Executive Officer, spent the first half of her career creating and patenting new materials and technologies for aerospace, automotive and electronics industries. In the last 2 decades she has led technical, marketing and sales teams to create profitable new businesses based on innovations in adhesives, controllable steering and vehicle suspensions, chip manufacturing and biometric sensing.

Dr. Yanyo has a B.S in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Ph.D. Polymer Science and Engineering from The University of Akron. She has published articles on materials development, modeling, new business development, and branding and customer engagement; received numerous awards for her publications, presentations and marketing communications. She holds eight US patents and their foreign equivalents, and serves on several university and corporate advisory boards.

Keith Collins, Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer – SAS

Keith Collins, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at SAS, serves as a member of the executive team. He is responsible for leading the Information

Technology Division. As CIO, Collins leads a focused effort on our cloud infrastructure and strategy. Prior to Collins being named CIO he served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at SAS where led Research and Development. He has been instrumental in leading SAS’ evolution as a provider of industry-specific solutions that deliver the benefits of powerful analytic technologies into the hands of users. Collins led the effort to develop the company’s breakthrough SAS Business Analytics Framework that is redefining business intelligence as it is known today.

Collins is a graduate of North Carolina State University in computer science. He is the founding member of the strategic advisory board of the department of computer science. In 2003, the university named him a Distinguished Engineering Alumnus. Collins also serves as an advisor for Bull City Venture Partners.

John Kelly, SVP of Solutions Portfolio & Research – IBM

As IBM senior vice president, solutions portfolio and research, Dr. John E. Kelly III is focused on the company’s investments in several of the fastest-growing and most strategic parts of the information technology market. His portfolio includes IBM Analytics, IBM Commerce, IBM Security and IBM Watson, as well as IBM Research and the company’s Intellectual Property team. He will also oversee the development of future units devoted to serving clients in specific industries, beginning with IBM Healthcare later this year.

In this role, Dr. Kelly’s top priorities are to stimulate innovation in key areas of information technology and to bring those innovations into the marketplace quickly; to apply these innovations to help IBM clients succeed; and to identify and nurture new and future areas for investment and growth. He works closely with the leaders of these new units to drive business development, accelerate technology transfer and invest for the future.

Marc Montoro of NCTA hosted a special edition of NC Tech Talk, live from Outlook for IT 2015. The following guests stopped by to discuss the direction of the their own companies, as well as the NC tech sector.

Kent Winrich, Director of Broadband and Infrastructure Services – Fibrant

Winrich has over 20 years of experience designing and overseeing fiber networks.   Most recently he was responsible for the complete European 100/10 gig fiber network for Hibernia Media, as well as managing other engineers around the world.  During his tenure at Hibernia, he doubled the footprint of the optical and IP network.  He also managed fiber optic projects such as the Sochi Winter Olympics where 14 High Definition video feeds, 124 channels of audio and 1 Gig of Ethernet were sent and received from Sochi.  Other projects included the High Definition Feeds, over fiber, for the 2014 French Open; and 2014 Wimbledon tennis matches.

Wayne Ianuario, VP, Southeast Region – MAC Source Communications

Wayne Ianuario joined MAC Source team in 2012 as Vice President, Southeast. Wayne has twenty plus years of experience in Telecommunications and Information Technology. Wayne’s past experience included building and managing “New Business Structures” and “Sales Teams” for major companies, such as Michelin, IKON and Relational Technology Services. Wayne is now building and expanding new markets for MAC Source Communications in the Southeast. Wayne is a graduate of University of South Carolina with BS degrees in Computer Engineering and Marketing. In addition he has earned his MBA from University of South Carolina in Finance and Accounting.

Brian Cesca, Charlotte Region General Manager – DataChambers

Brian Cesca joined DataChambers in 2012 with more than 15 years of experience in information technology and business development.  He previously was a partner and vice president of sales at Trust Technology Solutions and also sold technology services and solutions for Stanford Keene and Yoh IT. In addition to being a involved with the North Carolina Technology Association and CoreNet Carolinas, Mr. Cesca is also heavily active with Apparo, an organization providing technology expertise to nonprofits in the Charlotte area.

Simon Boardman, VP of Marketing – Eagle Creek Software Services

Simon has 29 years of experience in technology and services sales and marketing. Simon joined Eagle Creek in 2011, where he is responsible for the company’s marketing strategy and execution. Prior to this he co-founded and was CEO of Covente, a marketing services and outsourcing agency since 1993. He has worked in direct, channel sales and management at Miracle Software Products, and Data General Corp. Simon lives in Atlanta, GA, and holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Bradford in the UK.
