Don Johnson’s path to his position at Brentwood Hospice as the Spiritual Care Coordinator has been an eclectic one. After beginning his training for the Priesthood in the Roman Catholic Church, he switched directions.  He became a Methodist Minister,  pastoring five different United Methodist Churches.  Though he loved  being a pastor, Don felt a call to work in an area that was more intimate.  In addition to working the streets of Dallas’ inner city, he also started working with the terminally ill.  Today, Don works to provide pastoral care to those dealing with imminently terminal illnesses. If you would like to contact Don or Brentwood hospice, call 877-388-2304 or visit www.brentwoodhospice.com.

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Vicka Brown was destined to work with Seniors from an early age.  Her mother worked in healthcare with Seniors, and Vicka worked along side her as a youth.  In 1998, Vicka moved to Atlanta, and found a job with Cypress Health Group, a premier post-acute care and senior housing management company.  Though she went on hiatus twice, she kept coming back to Cypress.  Though she has held a number of positions during her tenure with Cypress, today she is the Director of Public Relations at Woodstock Nursing & Rehabilitation, and adores her job.  She is thrilled with the very capable staff, and loves the interaction she has with both current and prospective residents.

Vicka tells us that Woodstock Nursing & Rehabilitation is a family-oriented community in the heart of downtown Woodstock.  They pride themselves on serving families in a friendly and open environment, maintaining relationships with families over a period of years.  Stop by for a tour at 105 Arnold Mill Road in Woodstock.  Or visit them on the web at www.cypresshealthgroup.com, or call them at 770-926-0016.

We want to thank Griswold Special Care for sponsoring today’s show.  Griswold Special Care has been a preferred provider of high quality, affordable in-home senior care in Dallas and Atlanta for 20 years.

David Miska, director of Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Marietta is a firm believer in striving for excellence. Do not just settle for simply knowing what you know and doing what you do. Develop good work ethics and be an influence on others instead of being a leech. Don’t be contented of just delivering what is expected of you; take it to the next step. And once you’ve exceeded expectations, go back and review where you can course-correct next time. Share your experiences. Do not be embarrassed by your failures but in turn mentor others so they do not make the same mistakes.

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster David Coucheron encourages us to realize & analyze where we want to be and work very systematically in that direction. But at the same time, work for something that we love to do. That way, you have fun while doing what you love most and it doesn’t feel like work. Always strive to find ways to enjoy whatever it is that you do.

Mr. Charania has in depth knowledge of business management, strategic planning, finance, and sales and has used this knowledge to raise over $120 million dollars for new ventures throughout his career.

His extensive knowledge of the fueling industry comes from his investments in a number of fueling stations along with his many advisory roles to fuel delivery servicers. He has managed large executive teams and worked alongside multiple stakeholders including, investors, large clients and vendors in order to align the global vision behind the venture.

Over the past 6 years Mr. Charania has been President of CGC Global, an investment and advisory group which advised on and participated in the acquisition, development or sale of over $12 million in fueling stations along with other asset classes. Before that he helped raise revenues and increase investor returns at BCIR and Millennium Group of Partners by delivering efficient operations and requiring a strong focus on shareholder value by his entire organization.

He has proven results in the fields of private equity investments, business advisory, and real estate. Through his investments and business networks in the fuel sales industry, Mr. Charania saw a glaring need for cheaper and cleaner fuel in transportation; with that in mind he organized and formed American Fueling Systems.

In this interview Rahim talks in-depth about his experience in creating and managing ventures which produce profitable returns for investors and customers, and the company’s plan to set aside $1,000,000 to fund a Cooperative Agreement (CA) with Fleet Companies to provide fleet owners with a detailed alternative fuel feasibility study specific to their fleet operations so that they can get those questions answered with a detailed plan on how to make the transition.
