Grab about 8 oz of udon noodles, some pea pods, sesame and/or peanut oil oil, vinegar, mushrooms, chopped up scallions and carrots and some bean sprouts. Cook up the noodles and put them aside. Then cook the rest of the stuff. Eventually you’re going to mix everything together. You can serve this dish hot or cold – you’re call.

In today’s Wellness Minute Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy explain that honey does not cure allergies. There has been some talk that eating local honey will somehow give you relief from the sneezing, itchy eyes of allergy season. Sadly research does not seem to back that theory up. As long as there is wind blowing pollen around you will have to deal with allergies. Honey is not an allergy vaccine but it is delicious in tea.

By including your family in your training you can have the best of both worlds. Do your short runs with your family. Beginners should test their fitness level before they start training in order to prevent soreness and injuries. And everyone should make sure they have good shoes. Go to your local running store and get properly fitted.

So get your exercise in before you get busy with all the rest of the stuff you have going on in your life.  Even if that means setting the alarm clock a little earlier.

In today’s Wellness Minute Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy take a break at the FitBloggin 2011 conference while Rosie Battista shares why sleeping naked after 40 is the way to go. As Rosie says don’t be afraid to “Think outside the box.”  She wants you to make each meal as “naked” as possible. That means eating foods in their most natural state. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Don’t buy food in a box or can or any food that has a label on it or has ingredients that you can’t pronounce.  This way you can build your healthiest and sexiest body. When you start doing that then you have the confidence to sleep naked and present your best self.

We opened the show with a recap of our FitBloggin experience. It was awesome. Big shout out to Roni Noone and all the other fitbloggers we got to hang out with. Learned a lot about blogging watched a lot of people do fitness stuff. And had an all around great time. We were honored to be the keynote speakers this year and look forward to doing more stuff (maybe a live remote broadcast) with them next year.

Our first guest was someone we met at FitBloggin No Meat Athlete Matt Frazier. He is a vegan ultramarathon runner.Anyone who can shave over 100 minutes from his marathon time is a beast and this guy can do it without eating meat. That Scott Pilgrim movie was right those vegans are like superheroes. He’s got a new book coming out soon that shows you how to train for a half marathon and his first book helps vegetarians train for marathons.

Next up we had on Seth Goldman TeaEO of Honest Tea Dr Fitness’ new favorite beverage the half tea half lemonade lightly sweetened drink. Honest Tea wins awards for being green, for being healthy, for being organic and fair trade. But it is also delicious. If you are having a hard time finding it – it’s probably because Dr Fitness buys them all whenever he finds them. Honest Tea can be found in more and more stores but if you can’t find them near you Seth says to talk to the store manager and ask for it.

We closed the show with Shelley Woodworth from the Vail Valley Foundation and the Teva Mountain Games Vail which is happeneing June 2-5. This event is cool because it pits amateurs with pros going head to head in biking, running, white water and bouldering events. Throw in some free concerts, a little art and a bunch of free gear and no wonder more than 40,000 people will be there this year.
