Welcome to Kid Power Radio. I’m your host Max and each week
I review what’s happening on TV, at the movies, books and music I like ….You
get the idea

In the Nickelodeon news…

I saw a new Avatar this week and it was awesome. Sokka goes
to a professional swordsman to teach him how to control a sword. Sokka does
fine until the master finds out he’s in the Water Tribe…not the Fire Nation.
That’s when the master battles Sokka and kills him. Ha-ha! Did you fall for
that? Sokka can’t die. He’s one of the main characters. Anyway, Sokka wins the
battle. The truth is that the master knew Sokka’s lie. He gives Sokka his sword
and then Sokka with his new sword goes with his friends to begin another
adventure…

This week on Cartoon Network…

I saw this commercial for Ben 10. But a cool one. One in
real life. That’s right. REAL LIFE. It said a Ben 10 movie was coming out
November on Cartoon Network. It looked so. Cool. A new villain has escaped and
only Ben will stop it. That is if Ben can stop it…

Name That Tune!

No one emailed me so the answer is Saturday in the park by Chicago.

Here’s this week… (

In the fun places news…

I went to like 8,000,000,000 fun places over the weekend but
I’ll only talk three of them. The first fun place was the Atlanta Botanical Garden
which I went with my neighbors Drew, Nafy, Mel, and Michele. We had a blast. We
saw killer plants like the Venus Fly Trap and this plant that drowns the flies
that land in it. We also saw scarecrows and giant bugs carved out if wood. Me,
Drew, and Nafy played in the kid’s area and it was
so fun. I
hope we go again together. The second place was Burt’s farm. I went there with
Drew and family too! We picked out (in a singy voice) big pumpkins, little
pumpkins, fat pumpkins, skinny pumpkins, light pumpkins, heavy pumpkins, dark
pumpkins, and bright pumpkins. We also road the hay ride and got
old fashioned candy and popcorn. It was cool. The third place I just went with
my family. It was the Taste of Atlanta.
We tried all kinds of foods from different restaurants. It was really
good.

Funny Wacky Packy of the week…

I made this wacky packy up…

And the winner is… Drunken Doughnuts! Instead of Dunken
Doughnuts!

Listener Question…

I got 4 emails this week Thanks, Helen, Shelby, Betsy, Sarah, Courtney and Jillian…

Thanks everyone for sending in emails. You all are no official
members of the Kid Power Radio Street Team. Your job is to tell all your
friends about the show and if they email me they could get a special shout out
just like you did.

Remember, you can email me at RADIO STAR MAX at YAHOO.COM

That’s it for now. See you next week.  Bye!!

Welcome to Kid Power Radio. I’m your host Max and each week I review what’s happening on TV, at the movies, books and music I like ….You get the idea

In the Nickelodeon news…

Question: Who is the Painted Lady? Yes John? The Painted Lady is a worshiped god that some people on the show Avatar the Last Airbender believes in. Correct. Does anyone know who faked the Painted Lady just to save the village on the lake from The Fire Nation? Uh, Nancy…how about you? Katara, sir. Good. I have a great class!!! After the village finds out it’s been Katara what do they do? Gregory? They start to get mad at her then Saka convinces the people not to be mad at her. Great job. Uh-oh. We’re late for recess. Well gotta go. We’ll be back soon though. C’mon class time for recess. Hurry if you want to make it. Bob… I think you’re the line leader…

This week on Cartoon Network…

Oh man… I shouldn’t have played races. I have this big cramp. John will you teach while I go to Nurse Maria. Sure. Okay everybody I saw a new Ben 10 as Mr. RadioStarMax told us to for our homework so I guess I’ll ask questions about it. Okay so Ben is playing on Gwen’s what when he breaks it? George? Gwen’s computer Mr. John. Correct. When he does break it what room of the van does Ben go in? Benjamin? The closet? Nope. How about Mario? The bathroom. Good. When Ben goes to the wrestling arena what alien does he use to win? Henry? Four-Arms, Mr. John. Correct. Does Ben win the $10,000 to fix Qwen’s computer? Jack? Yes. Good. This is the last question. What is the surprise ending? Marie? Qwen really has something on her computer so that only she can go on. Good. Oh…look here’s Mr. RadioStarMax. Hey guys so what did you learn? We learned… Oh look.. it’s lunchtime! They have nachos today! Score 1! Guys wait! Be right back!

Name That Tune!

Hey guys…my class is at lunch so I guess I’ll do name that tune. Two people emailed me (Great Job Tristan and Helen) so let’s read what they wrote…

Here’s this week name that tune…

In the book news…

Here comes my class. I know what I’ll talk about. Take your seats guys and girls. Okay we’ve been reading a book called “Toad Rage.” Can anyone give a summary of Toad Rage? No one? Oh there’s a hand in the back. Lee can you tell us a summary of Toad Rage? Limpy is a toad and he wonders why humans hate toads. No one in his smamp knows so Limpy heads to this place humans go called a “gas station.”  At the gas station people are being nice to animals but when they see Limpy they scream and try to hit him with something. That’s where we stopped for now. Wow! That was a really good summary. My class is really good aren’t they?

In the birthday news…

As you all know it was my birthday. I had my birthday party at Mountasia. Has anyone been there? One, five, twelve hands! WOW! Anyone I did go-karts, bumper boats, and video games. They also have mini-golf but it was too hot to do that. I had ice-cream cake from Brusters and it was delicious!! I really suggest you go there for your birthday!! Me and my mom baked a cake for my class too. It was really good. I have the nicest class!!! HEY!! You guys are good too. Anyway a kid in my class named Jordie made this giant poster that said Happy Birthday Max and he got everyone to sign it.

In the restaurant news…

Also for my birthday I went to Kobe Steak House with my friend Brendan and it was good. They too our picture and put it on a piece if cake!! It was so cool! They also made a bunny face out of cinnamon for us!! It was cool!! I loved it!

Funny Wacky Packy of the week…

And the winner is… can you you guess it? No one? That’s disappointing! Anyway the winner is Creeps! Instead of Peeps! Darn it! I thought it was that! What?! No you didn’t!!

Hey guys stop fighting!!! Sorry Mr. RadioStarMax

Listener Question…

I got 16 emails this week…Thank you Bev, Helen, Iman, Jade, Alice, Tim, Tristan, Corey, Ariel, Madie, Betsy, Judi, Jeff, Missy P, Penny and Shelby

Today Amy had Andy Greider, host of Uniqueness is Power, a business marketing show on as her co-host. For more information about that show please go to Andy’s website www.UniquenessisPower.com

This morning we were joined by Jerrilynn Thomas, CEO of of the International Virtual Women’s Chamber of Commerce (IVWCC). Jerrilyn shared how her start with online community building was caused by her desire to stay at home with her children. And as she met more and more working moms on line her business evolved and is still evolving and growing.

She is very busy launching a new community called Georgia Women Partner and she brought a few of her Executive Directors into the studio with her. These ladies had been working together online for some time and many actually were meeting for the first time in person in our studio. We met Penny Haynes, Nicco Duncan and Sandy Lomas who along with Jerrilyn are helping women learn how to do business in each of the counties in Georgia.

We discussed lots of ways women can network and learn from other women who are growing their businesses online. There are so many opportunities and Jerrilynn and her associates are great resources for budding women entrepreneurs.

For more information on the International Virtual Women’s Chamber of Commerce or exploring online business networking opportunities please check out Jerrilynn’s website www.ivwcc.org

Welcome to Kid Power Radio. I’m your host Max and each week
I review what’s happening on TV, at the movies, books and music I like ….You

In the Nickelodeon news…

I saw a show called Back at the Barnyard and was really
cool. I haven’t finished watching it yet but the stuff I did see was
funny. Let me tell you the story line. There is this cow whose name is Otis. He
lives on a farm. He and his animal buddies can talk but to people it’s just a
plain moo, or cluck, or oink. Otis and his buddies don’t like humans so they
pull pranks on them. That’s all I’m going to tell you. Now you should go watch
it and see what happens.

This week on Cartoon Network…

I have tivo and what
it does is records t.v. shows for you. It taped a new Ben 10 for me but, I
haven’t got a chance to watch it. Next week I’ll tell you all about it.

Name That Tune.

No one emailed me so the answer was Caught Up by Usher

Here’s this week…

In the book news…

I read a series of books called Wayside School
They are so funny. They are written by Louis Sachar. They are great
books. Their names are…

1. Wayside School
is falling down

2. Wayside
School gets a little
stranger

3. Stories from Wayside
School

I suggest you read them.

In the birthday news…

It’s my birthday this Wednesday. I had my
neighborhood party and it was the coolest thing ever. I got so many
presents. From my cousin I got this Simpson’s puzzle. Easy right? WRONG. It’s 1000
pieces. My parents are working on it now.

Funny Wacky Packy of the week…

And the winner is Slob
Way. Instead of SubWay. Who will be next week?
