Lee Kantor: [00:00:03] Welcome to Jill Heineck’s Tactical Tips For Selling Your House In Today’s Environment. I’m Lee Kantor. Jill, today’s question is, what are the visuals you will use to promote my property?

Jill Heineck: [00:00:15] Well, Lee, we will have a professional photographer come to your property and take gorgeous photos. Every single listing that we take receives a professional photography session. We also create a dedicated property website on 123mainstreet.com. That’s a dedicated virtual tour. We also have added many video products. So, for example, there’ll be a video teaser that we can use in all our social channels. So, it would be about one minute. And then, we’ll have an actual video walk through that will be posted as part of the property website. We also include digital floor plans. If you haven’t provided us a floor plan, we’ll have our photographer create a digital floor plan so that prospective buyers can see how the property is laid out. And then, of course, per usual, we’ll also provide beautiful brochures via PDF that can be shared by the seller and all of their networks as well on top of our networks.

Jon-Lewis-Heirborn-ServantsIt’s not uncommon request for Jon Lewis, a chaplain with the Gwinnett County, Georgia police department, to receive a call to minister to the family of a suicide victim. One of twelve chaplains serving the 800-person force, he will sometimes show up at a crime scene and work with families of victims while the police are doing their work.

Recently, Jon responded to a murder-suicide scene, where a man had killed his girlfriend before taking his own life. Jon ministered to the woman’s six-year-old daughter, who was unaware of everything that happened. She just wondered why the television news helicopter was flying overhead.

A member at 12Stone Church, where he serves as a pastor-on-call, Jon conducted 15 funerals last year, most of them the result of some traumatic situation. “When the call comes,” he said, “I don’t know what I will find when I arrive, so I pray, ‘Holy Spirit, speak through me.’”

When a police officer was killed recently, he was available to minister to the officers working through the trauma of losing a comrade.

As if that weren’t enough action in his life, Jon is also involved with the Atlanta Mission, particularly it’s Potter’s House, a 570-acre facility that houses 100 men. The facility offers a year-long program assisting victims of addiction and homelessness. The program helps them find jobs and get back on their feet.

Jon preaches at the facility on Tuesday morning and conducts a Wednesday evening discipleship gathering, mentoring participants to build self-confidence and leadership skills. He says, “There are two types of pain – the pain of changing and the pain of staying the same.” He mentors them toward change.

Jon also leads a non-profit organization called “Heirborn Servants” where they empower women, who are survivors of domestic violence and sex trafficking, they help get them places that matter. “Ultimately,” Jon says, “everybody needs a car.” If they cannot afford a car, the organization partners with them by paying some or all the cost of LYFT or Uber rides for a specified period. They also find dependable vehicles they give away to ladies who qualify. They recently gifted their 49th vehicle to a survivor. Each woman has a mentor (strongly encouraged) who is in contact with them weekly or even daily, to get them connected to a church and a small group. The addition of a new rideshare program allows ministry partners to schedule rides for vetted qualified clientss

“Some days,” Jon says, “I feel like I’m 100 years old spiritually because of the opportunities I have had to serve.”

Stone Payton and Lee Kantor here with you this afternoon, Lee, quite a bit of advice that we try to share in these Pro Tips, most of it not only applies to being a studio partner, or a Business RadioX certified correspondent, or ambassador, it typically will apply to anyone who’s trying to genuinely serve regardless of the type of business that they’re in. And one of your pieces of advice that I’ve always admired is appoint yourself, become the vice president of service and connection.

Lee Kantor: [00:00:36] Yeah. If you really want to grow your business, if you’re the vice president of service and connections, and that’s what you’re spending your time doing, if you spend your time serving others, connecting people who would benefit from knowing each other, you will become an indispensable member of your community who will be missed if you were to leave.

Lee Kantor: [00:00:59] Now, if every day, you’re doing that kind of work, you are no longer just another vendor selling a commodity that can be found elsewhere. People will want to buy what you’re selling from you because of all these other intangibles that you’re bringing to the table that they can’t get from anyone else. And that’s the secret to success. Be indispensable by bringing a lot more to the table than just whatever the client thinks they want from you. Deliver that, obviously, but do more, and you will have clients for life and you’re not going to have to work as hard to sell anybody anything. They’re going to want to do business with you.

Jason leads a team of associates who are committed to delivering a best in class product for our customers.  

Jason began his career at Bank of America in 1994. He joined the management team in 1996 and since then has held a wide range of management positions in Product, Credit Risk Management, Marketing, Credit Operations and Customer Service Operations. 

Prior to joining Bank of America, Jason held management positions at First National Bank of Omaha. 

Jason graduated from the University of Nebraska where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance.  

Jason is actively involved in the community by supporting Kennett Parks and Recreation, Ronald McDonald House and Food Bank of Delaware.  

He formerly served on the Executive Board of United Way of Delaware. Jason and his wife Susan, live in Avondale, Pennsylvania with their two children.

ABOUT BILL OXFORD 

 Vietnam War veteran James W. “Bill” Oxford was elected national commander of the nearly 2 million-member American Legion on August 29, 2019, in Indianapolis, during the organization’s 101st national convention. He has been a member of the nation’s largest veterans’ organization since 1986. 

A native of Lenoir, N.C., Oxford is a paid-up-for- life member and past commander of Post 29 in Lenoir. He served as department (state) commander of the North Carolina American Legion from 2010 to 2011.  

A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Oxford was an aviation electronic technician for the A-6 Intruder and served in Vietnam during his initial enlistment. After being discharged as a sergeant in 1970, Oxford joined the North Carolina National Guard.  He subsequently attended officer’s candidate school and transferred to the U.S. Army Reserve, where he ultimately retired as a colonel after more than 34 years of military service. 

 An active volunteer with several organizations, Oxford is a member of Masonic lodge-York and Scottish Rite. His theme as national commander of The American Legion is “a foundation for the future,” as the organization advances through its second century of service.
