I am a native Arizonan who grew up all up and down the Colorado River.  My mother was a stylist and my father owned a construction company.   I used to ask my mom if she needed a shampoo boy because it was a lot easier than being in 115-degree heat.  I only won that battle half the battle-half-the time.  So I can give a great shampoo or pour your concrete slabs for you.

I moved to Phoenix as a teenager and attended high school and college there.  I started a career in sales and marketing that led me to being in international franchising and mergers.  I spent five years in Europe franchising there.

Upon my return to the states, we began franchising salons and that brought me back to my roots in the salon industry.   First, we were distributors and then we became manufacturers focusing on the fine thin, and thinning hair market.  We started on a journey in the hair restoration market that has since led to four US patents with four more pending.  We feel we the most effective topical hair growth product on the market.

She stands behind being a self-starter with humble beginnings, ridding her toddler on a bicycle in her pursuit of a Cosmetology License.  The difference between the outliers in this industry is how bad you really want it.  Angela has dedicated a lifetime of energy to this industry in order to learn and grow each step of the way so she can better create beautifully empowered clients.  Angela enjoys applying her skills and knowledge to train and coach other stylists to excel in their own creative being through hair artistry. The understanding of stylists supporting stylists was a driving factor towards how her approach could truly make a difference serving the desire for education in Tennessee.

Firuzeh Mehrabani
Acupunctureandallergyclinic.com
For a video and more information please visit our website at
acupunctureandallergyclinic.com  I have received my postgraduate degree in acupuncture and Oriental medicine in 1999.

I have used my understanding and background in Oriental medicine a step further and modernized the way oriental medicine is understood and used.

Unless an individual takes time and personal interest to read on Oriental medicine it is a mystery to many individuals. Understanding the terms and concepts of Oriental medicine is difficult.  It is a very different concept than what we have understood and studied in the west.  It took me a year and a half of a three-year post-graduate program and many acupuncture treatments to understand and grasp the concept.

When one goes for an acupuncture treatment, the pulse is taken after which the organs to be supported or identified. Acupuncture needles and herbs are then used on weekly basis to stimulate organ function and to bring the body into balance and eliminate the symptoms of discomfort and illness.

On average 5 to 10 weekly treatments are important to reach the goal. This is very time consuming and many people have a needle phobia.

In 1958 A German doctor, Dr. Voll, came up with a system that measured the frequency output from each organ. He used the machine instead of taking the pulse to access how each organ is functioning.

In the 1970s here in the United States a computer program was developed to build on Dr. Voll’s system of analysis.   The method, Electro-Acupuncture by Voll (EAV) was renamed Electro-Dermal Screening (EDS).

Now Clients had the option of visiting every 4 to 6 weeks versus weekly appointments.  Since no needles were involved it is a friendlier system to use with the general public as well as children.

In summary, it is a computerized analysis of the energy/frequencies of organs measured through the acupuncture meridians on the body. A flat probe is used on fingers and toes to obtain readings from each meridian which is the highway to each Organ.

Acupuncture meridians are pathways to organs in oriental medicine as is the nervous system is to allopathic medicine.

Before illness occurs in the body, organs read out of range and below 100% for a number of years.  During an appointment, our goal is to find out which organs are out of balance and use appropriate homeopathy and herbs to stimulate their function through cellular nourishment and detoxification.

That brings the organs back to the optimum frequency level. This translates to health and resolution of symptoms and complaints presented during an appointment. Through this method, health is restored to the body.

We measure energetics of the following organs at each appointment. Spleen/pancreas, gallbladder, kidney, bladder, liver, lungs, lymphatic system (not limited to ear, nose, and throat) pituitary gland, adrenals, thyroid & parathyroid, central nervous system, small intestine, large intestine,  environmental and food allergies, vitamin and mineral absorption, prostate, uterus, breast tissue, ovaries. We look at fungal viral bacteria and parasites’ load in the body’s wellness.

On the average 3-4 appointments, six weeks apart are needed, during which homeopathic and herbs will be taken to bring balance to the body.

This in turn eliminates /improves symptoms of illness/ imbalance in the body.  We add in acupuncture to work with pain, injuries, and to provide additional supports in between computerized analysis when progress and recovery is slow.

Andrew Sampson, Investment Advisor Representative, Wilde Wealth Management Group, Phoenix

2020 has been a year unlike any other in recent memory. For many Americans, it has placed a renewed emphasis on the importance of smart financial planning and money management.  Unfortunately, many are still struggling when it comes to understanding and saving money. That’s where a financial advisor can assist, helping individuals to stay disciplined and on track during a challenging time.

According to Charles Schwab’s latest Financial Literacy Survey, 89% of Americans believe that lack of financial education contributes to social and societal problems such as poverty, joblessness, wealth inequality and race relations

Despite this desire for financial knowledge, a CNBC/Acorns Invest in You Savings Survey released late last year revealed that about 75% of Americans refuse to seek out professional financial advice, preferring instead to manage their own finances.

Andrew shares tips to help ensure a successful relationship with a financial advisor:

  • DO YOUR RESEARCH: A financial advisor is a deeply personal choice. You need to find someone with whom you feel comfortable sharing the full details of your financial situation. Finding the right fit requires a bit of research. Your own network of friends and family may be able to recommend someone who is right for you.
  • BROKER VS. FINANCIAL PLANNER:  A broker tends to handle only your investments while a financial planner will look more holistically at your financial life, including insurance, estate planning, tax planning and investment management.
  • PUT YOUR PANDEMIC SAVINGS TO USE:  For many, the pandemic has had a silver lining—staying at home has allowed many to save money that would have normally gone to restaurants, shopping and other discretionary purchases. An advisor can help decide how to put that unexpected surplus to use.
  • USE DEBT WISELY:  Many people hit rough times or simply make mistakes when faced with unexpected expenses. There is no shame in carrying debt, but there is a right way and a wrong way to use credit. A financial advisor can assist with how best to manage debt in a challenging time.

BRX Pro Tip: If You Have Recently Been Laid Off

Stone Payton: [00:00:00] And we are back with Business RadioX Pro Tips. Lee Kantor and Stone Payton here with you this afternoon. Lee, I know some folks are really struggling out there from time to time. What advice, if any, can we offer the person who has been recently laid off?

Lee Kantor: [00:00:17] Yeah, if you’ve been recently laid off, I’m sorry, number one. Number two, try to take action every day. That’s a really important part of this process. Everybody has been laid off, but your phone’s not going to ring by itself. It just doesn’t happen. You have to take action every day in order for people to respond to you. And hopefully, you had a plan ahead of time for this eventuality because everybody’s gone through this. So, if you thought you were bulletproof, this is a new world. Nobody’s bulletproof anymore. So, it’s important to take action.

Lee Kantor: [00:00:54] And some of the actions you can take is you have to decide what your next step is going to be. Are you going to consult? Are you going to get another job? Are you going to buy a business? Are you going to buy a franchise? What are you going to do? And once you make that decision, then start telling people and socializing this, you know. Tell your close friends in your network what you’re up to, “This is what I’m up to. This is what I need. I need clients that do this,” or “I’d like to get into this kind of a business.” Ask them for business. Start at your close friends first, and then go out further and further with your contacts in your network.

Lee Kantor: [00:01:30] But it’s important to take action every day, have a plan and then just relentlessly execute it until you’ve achieved success. But start with your closest friends, work out to your personal network, and then eventually get to LinkedIn and just keep going. Don’t give up.

Kathy Kleiner

”My father died when I was five and I was adopted when I was seven. At the age of thirteen, I was diagnosed with systemic Lupus erythematous, a serious form of Lupus that attacks the body’s organs, in my case, it was my kidney. My treatment consisted of experimental chemotherapy which made me lose all my hair. I stayed in the hospital for three months after which I was homebound, and homeschooled for my seventh grade.

In The fall of 1976, I started at FUS and pledged Chi Omega Sorority. I was initiated as a sister in the spring of 1977. In the fall of 1977, I moved into the Chi Omega Sorority House, my parents felt that living in the sorority house would be safer than living in a dorm on campus.

On January 15th,1978, I was attacked by Ted Bundy. He bludgeoned me with a log he picked up from a pile of firewood, the same log he used to kill two of my sorority sisters. He beat my face so severely that my jaw was shattered and broken and barely attached to the joints, my cheek was ripped open from the corner of my mouth to my ear and exposed the inside of my mouth. I nearly bit my tongue off and I also received severe lacerations to my shoulder. To repair my mouth, metal pins were inserted into my jaw. My chin was so badly shattered, that wire was used to wrap around the bone to keep it together. For the healing process, they wired my jaw shut for nine weeks. They could not stitch my tongue, so it was to heal in time. My cheek was sutured which left me with a terrible scar. Today I have no feeling on the right side of my face. I suffer from severe TMJ, which has caused me to have several surgeries over the years.

The attack affected me both physically and emotionally.

Written and edited by Kim Adair:

When Kathy was called to testify against Bundy at his trial in Miami, she felt in control. Afterward, she felt overwhelmingly sick to her stomach.

When answering questions from the prosecution, she could not give a definite answer, as to whether her attacker was Bundy.

The attack was swift, the room very dark, he too was dressed in dark attire.

She remembers feeling tremendous guilt, that her testimony was not a nail in the coffin to help convict Ted Bundy.

She was, however, satisfied, to look straight at him, not turning away from the monster-serial killer.

Bundy was convicted of the killing of Kathy’s sorority sisters, Lisa Levy and Margaret Bowman. Aside from an eye witness Nita Jane Neary, who saw Bundy leaving the Florida State University Chi Omega sorority house the night of the murders, hair matching Bundy from his pantyhose mask, and a bite mark left on one of the victims, sealed his fate.

He was also convicted of the killing of twelve-year-old Kimberly Leach, Lake City, Florida.

She would be Bundy’s final victim.

Ted Bundy was electrocuted at Raiford Prison in Starke, Florida, on January 24th, 1989.

“Feeling uncomfortable to be around unfamiliar men, I worked in a lumberyard for three months until I was no longer afraid.

Later, I worked as a teller in a bank, where I was robbed at gunpoint. After taking the afternoon off, I returned to work the next day.

Because my Lupus required me to be hospitalized so young and the trauma of Bundy’s attack left me with a terrible fear of hospitals. To reach beyond this fear, I got a job in a hospital where I enjoyed working for 18 years.

In 1989 I married a very good friend from high school, Scott. At age of 34, I have diagnosed with stage two-breast cancer and had a radical mastectomy. It took several surgeries to complete the reconstruction process. Again, I was given chemotherapy and lost my hair. My chemo treatments lasted for over nine months. After years of trying to have a baby, Scott and I were devastated when I had two miscarriages both in my second trimester. In 2005 I lived in New Orleans and lived through Hurricane Katrina. “My experience of being attacked by Ted Bundy has helped me survive and thrive with these adversities and others in my life. I believe there is nothing too difficult to overcome and that no one can stop me from achieving my dreams.

Our Mission

We help local business leaders get the word out about the important work they’re doing to serve their market, their community, and their profession.

We support and celebrate business by sharing positive business stories that traditional media ignores. Some media leans left. Some media leans right. We lean business.
