Alexander McCobin is CEO of Conscious Capitalism, Inc., a US-based organization dedicated to elevating humanity by improving the practice and perception of business. Alexander became CEO of Conscious Capitalism in July, 2017, after serving 15 months as co-CEO alongside Doug Rauch. Alexander joined Conscious Capitalism with experience in the nonprofit, for-profit, and academic fields.
Most recently before joining Conscious Capitalism, Alexander served as co-founder and president of Students For Liberty, a nonprofit organization that teaches the principles of a free society to young people and empowers them to make a difference in their communities; in Alexander’s last year as president, Students For Liberty was operating in over 100 countries, included nearly 2,000 student groups, organized 100 conferences for 20,000 participants, and trained over 1,500 volunteer leaders.
Alexander graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2008 with a BA in philosophy and economics and a MA in philosophy. He began a PhD program in philosophy at Georgetown University with the intention of becoming a professor, but ended with a Master’s degree when it became apparent that his principal interests lay outside the Ivory Tower. During undergraduate and graduate schools, Alexander simultaneously started and assisted in starting several other businesses in both the for profit and nonprofit realms ranging from introducing high school debate programs to underserved youth in Philadelphia to providing low-cost travel planning to businesses.

Dr. Kathleen Gallo, RN, PhD, is senior vice president and chief learning officer for Northwell Health. Under her leadership, the Center for Learning and Innovation, Northwell Health’s corporate university, and the Patient Safety Institute were created to transform the health system into a learning organization by strategically focusing on workforce development. Dr. Gallo is also the founding dean of the Hofstra Northwell School of Graduate Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies. Dr. Gallo is responsible for leadership development throughout the organization as well as the creation and implementation of a comprehensive learning strategy. She has more than 25 years experience in emergency nursing, having held a variety of clinical and administrative positions in tertiary care hospitals on Long Island. A noted author and speaker, Dr. Gallo has collaborated in a Springer publication entitled, Building a Culture of Patient Safety Through Simulation: An Interprofessional Learning Model. Roberto Hernandez is an immigrant from Acapulco, Mexico. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 12 years old after his mother was kidnapped in Mexico. This event left him and his family with no other choice than to leave the country and start a new life in the United States. Roberto gained legal work authorization in the United States thanks to the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Roberto is an accomplished artist. In Mexico, He became the youngest member registered at La Casa de La Cultura of Acapulco, the most prestigious art school in the region where he received his first traditional art instructions using pastels for drawing and composition. In 2007, he graduated from Georgia State University with a BFA in drawing and painting, with a minor in graphic design. Thanks to the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals program, Roberto now has work authorization in the United States. With DACA, he has obtained a driver’s license and has begun to get jobs with film crews shooting in Atlanta. He also owns his own company, Roberto’s Artwork LLC. Last year, he was commissioned to paint a mural on Buford Highway as part of 10 citywide art pieces promoting diverse perspectives as part of an initiative by the nonprofit group Living Walls. Roberto currently works as an art director providing services such as murals, costume design, stage design, art direction, theatrical, special effects, and beauty makeup.
