He also explained the difference between a social network and a personal network. Mike shared some simple ways how his software and iPhone app help you develop more effective relationships with your clients as well as your sales prospects. He wasn’t to fond of LinkedIn as a way to grow your business. And remember this guy knows what he is talking about – Mike not only was involved with the creation of ACT! the CRM product that has been attributed as the catalyst for the entire Contact Management industry, he’s devoted his entire career to help the business professional cultivate high quality relationships.  And be on the look out for his new book which details how successful business depends on successful relationships.

Next up we had on Robert Owens and Gregory Viviers with Grand Champion BBQ. These guy are taking East Cobb by storm – the AJC recently named their Mac and Cheese the best in Atlanta. October 3, 2011 by lee kantor

Stacey Anderson, who owns Queen of Hearts Antiques and Interiors with her husband, Jim, visited the Family Business Radio Studios on Thursday, September 8, 2011 to talk with hosts Meredith Moore and Dwayne Samples. She revealed that her family business works best when the staff is treated like family, the dealers are not necessarily treated like family, and she and her husband refrain from working side-by-side on a daily basis. The formula must work. Her business was recently named among the 2011 Bulldog 100, a list of the fastest growing businesses owned and operated by UGA alumni.

Family Business Radio Hosts Interview Franchise Experts – Business RadioX

September 26, 2011 by lee kantor

Last month, Atlanta Business RadioX Hosts Meredith Moore and Dwayne Samples sat down with father-daughter team Phil and Leslie Kuban to talk about their experiences helping individuals and families find success through franchising.

“Leslie & Phil provided us with insight into FranNet, and the world of franchising. As a bonus, they provided us with insights into the dynamics of a successful business partnership between two strong, vibrant personalities who just happen to be daughter and father,” said Moore. Many family businesses struggle because of the family dynamics, but Leslie and Phil say they are thankful that their business has not experienced those kinds of problems. They say having defined roles helps, so they don’t have to check with each other on every decision. And while they may not always agree, they trust each other’s intentions.

In addition to sharing the details of how FranNet works for franchisors and franchisees, and how they work together, Phil and Leslie also talked about how they got into the business.
