Alli Neal/Revved Up Kids

It is the mission of Revved Up Kids to provide programs and safety resources that equip and empower participants to recognize and avoid dangerous situations and people, and to escape violence if necessary.

Revved Up Kids believes that the easiest target for a predator is a child who doesn’t know predators exist. It is their mission to teach kids who predators are, how they operate, and how to respond if they meet a predator. Their personal safety and self-defense training for children has been proven to change a child’s understanding about who predators are, improve self-protective behaviors and increase confidence in responding to a predator. Children have avoided and escaped attacks as a result of their training, and children have disclosed sexual abuse as a result of their training.

They work with private groups and child-serving organizations in the metro Atlanta area, training thousands of children every year. Visit their Programs Page for more information about our personal safety and self-defense training programs.

Veronica Guobadia and Carla Simms/Care4All Children Services

Care4All Children Services is licensed by the State of Georgia through the Department of Human Services – Office of Regulatory Child Care (DHS – ORCC) to provide placements and social services to children in foster care. The agency holds a contract with the Office of Provider Management (OPM) and partners with the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS).

Care4All Children Services recruits, trains and recommends families to OPM for approval in order to obtain a license to foster children in their homes. Once a home is licensed and children are placed for care, Care4All provides follow up social services to ensure that the basic needs of the children and parents are met.

As a Therapeutic Foster Care Agency, Care4All requires more training for parents initially and on-going. The agency also provides more support for children and caregivers. Treatment foster care is preferred over residential or group home-care because it maintains children in family settings, which in turn reduces incidences of trauma. To ensure the safety and security of children, Care4All’s intensive foster parent training includes crisis management and emergency response.

David Shavzin/The Value Track

David Shavzin created The Value Track to help business owners build value and create a path towards a successful exit. Too often, they have not built the value they need and are unprepared when the time comes to put their transition into action.

Since 2000, David has helped business owners get on The Value Track. He helps them think through their long-term goals and plans, educates them on business value and brings the right collaborative advisory team around the table. He then assists in the implementation of value-growth initiatives, guiding them to a successful transition (sale, family transfer, etc.). His 7-step process improves their quality of life and allows them to exit on their own terms.

A frequent speaker on these topics, David is a CMC, former IMC Georgia chapter president, and President and Co-Founder of Exit Planning Exchange Atlanta, formed to bring advisors together in a collaborative effort to serve their clients.

Monte Ortel/Mitsubishi Electric Classic

The Mitsubishi Electric Classic is a PGA TOUR Champions event hosted annually at TPC Sugarloaf.

The Mitsubishi Electric Classic returns to the metro Atlanta area April 13-19, 2020 and features legends of the game such as Tom Watson, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Bernhard Langer, John Daly, Vijay Singh, and David Toms. The Mitsubishi Electric Classic proudly stands as a premier golf tournament on the PGA TOUR Champions, but this event is much more than a golf tournament.

The events and activities associated with the Mitsubishi Electric Classic provide an all-inclusive, entertaining atmosphere and the beautiful views of TPC Sugarloaf serve as a backdrop for world-class golf and provide the perfect venue to mingle with friends and business leaders while watching the legends of the game.

The event, which will benefit local charities through the Gwinnett Championship Foundation Inc., has raised over $2.3 million since the first tournament in 2013. All three rounds of the Mitsubishi Electric Classic are televised internationally by the Golf Channel.

Mike Maloney/TPC Sugarloaf

Situated on 1,200 acres of breathtaking Georgia countryside within the gated community of Sugarloaf Country Club, TPC Sugarloaf offers a winning combination. In addition to 27 holes of magnificent golf designed by Greg Norman, TPC Sugarloaf offers an array of amenities with the personalized service and privileges that have become synonymous with the PGA TOUR’s acclaimed TPC Network of premier clubs.

TPC Sugarloaf’s par-72, 7,259-yard championship golf course is comprised of nine holes called “The Stables” and nine holes named “The Meadows.” Named by Golf Digest among the “Best New Private Clubs in the U.S.” when it debuted in 1997, and by Golfweek among the “Top 100 Best Residential Golf Courses for 2007-2008,” TPC Sugarloaf’s featured 18 holes are accented by tree-lined Bermuda fairways, streams, lakes and hills.

Linnea Miller/City of Suwanee and Long Table

LinneaMillerCityofSuwaneeThe City of Suwanee and its Public Art Commission are embarking on a capital campaign to raise funds for three public art installations, including an interactive, signature piece that will enhance a 25-acre addition to Town Center Park. These pieces will act as a catalyst to transform the project from a park to a place.

The city already has a thriving public art program, which includes a temporary, rotating sculpture exhibition called SculpTour; a permanent art collection of 20 pieces; a Public Arts Commission to create programs that bring and promote public art in Suwanee; and a successful program that encourages developers to use one percent of construction costs to include public art or support public art as a component of new projects. Suwanee’s public art – and the vibrant, distinctive community that comes with it – is funded entirely through sponsor support; no tax dollars are used.

Great cities have long considered public art a key component of a vibrant community — an essential element of placemaking and city design, a tool for promoting connectedness and economic development, and a means of providing people with experiences.

Public art enhances the culture of a community: it’s timeless, impacts generations, and is accessible to everyone. It has become an important piece of what Suwanee does, what Suwanee is, and how Suwanee is viewed. The city’s public art program creates a dialogue with people who live inside and outside of Suwanee. It is a true differentiator, and has become Suwanee and Gwinnett’s niche in metro Atlanta.
