TIFFANY KRUMINS SHOW: Jim Hollandsworth with The Path Project
Jim Hollandsworth/The Path Project
The Path Project exists to empower Latino children growing up in at-risk mobile home park communities to find the path to graduation and a plan for their future. They do this by partnering with mobile home park owners, local schools, churches and businesses. Their model is to open a community center inside the mobile home park so all the kids in the community can walk there. They have a paid teacher who runs after-school homework, literacy and mentoring programs – all with the goal of helping the kids stay on track academically and graduate high school. The graduation rate for Latino students in Georgia is around 60% and it’s even lower for kids growing up in mobile home parks. They currently operate in seven mobile home communities: six in Atlanta and another in Nashville, TN. Their vision is to scale their model to dozens of mobile home parks across the Southeast and see thousands of kids graduate high school and pursue their dreams!

Ms. Baumbusch’s passion for estate and trust litigation is rooted in the combination of analyzing complex legal issues and being attuned to family dynamics. With cases that often involve clients’ family members, Ms. Baumbusch focuses on the legalities involved and interactions with opposing counsel, while never losing sight of the impact the final outcome will have on her client’s family. She understands that seeking a mediated settlement that would foster a better family relationship is often a more appropriate approach than taking an aggressive stance in litigation. However, each case presents different family, factual, and legal issues, making every day a fresh challenge.
