I’m not any good at networking. I don’t like it when people come up and try to sell me stuff I don’t need, don’t want, and can’t afford. I’m not getting any referrals from the networking groups I go to. How do I get out of a annoying conversation? When is a good time to go networking?
Those questions and more are answered on this episode of “On the Money“. Host Joe Moss interviews Will Caraway on how to network effectively. He tells you how many people network incorrectly and shares secrets on how to network effectively.
Will Caraway/Chief Networking Executive
Why are people buying from you? Is it because of your company, your service, or your price? No! It’s because of YOU. They are buying you. This is the best-kept secret in the sales industry today. The only exception to this rule is if your product is the only one in the entire world.
Will Caraway with Chief Networking Executive says you are always networking. Every time you talk to a neighbor, an acquaintance, a stranger or even a present client.
What should I say in my elevator pitch? Never, never, never tell them what you do! Instead tell them why you are passionate about what you do. Tell them a story about how your product or service has eliminated a problem for one of your clients and how it will prevent one from happening in the future.
Three components of successful networking. 1.Chemistry 2 Being perceived as the “go to” person or professional in your industry 3. Solve a problem now or prevent one from happening in the future.
