This information will be used for your on-air introduction and posted in the show notes. If this area is left blank, we will only use your name(s) and your company/organization name.  (up to 200 words)

Tom Wuelpern received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan. Pursuing an interest in energy-efficient design, he went on to obtain a Master in Environmental Planning at Arizona State University. While studying at ASU, Tom learned about using rammed earth and adobe wall systems as a means of stabilizing interior building temperatures in arid climates.

Early in his career, he worked on rammed earth wall crews, so his architectural training is literally grounded in hands-on construction knowledge. Later, he worked in partnership with like-minded contractors, designing rammed earth and adobe residences. In 1994, he formed Rammed Earth Development, Inc.  In 2012, the company changed its name to PureBuild, Inc. to reflect that its work is not limited to rammed earth construction.

An avid photographer and hiker, Tom draws inspiration and ideas from his travels in Latin America and around the world.  Living in Barrio Santa Rosa, where he has resided with his wife and children for decades, informs how Tom sees the interplay of regional design and community.

About Cynthia (Cindy) Beving

Born in Iowa and not liking the cold I moved South as quickly as I could landing in Tucson in 2017. I began consulting back in Tucson for Not-for-Profit companies associated with People with Disabilities. My younger brother Bart has a developmental disability and so it was a natural place to begin. So, a partner and I worked together to start what would become SOREO, the second-largest, long-term care provider for the elderly in the state of Arizona.

My executive suites started with 1632 Executive Suites at 1632 N Country Club Rd. Then into partnership with 6095 Executive Suites at 6095 E Grant Rd.

We lease office and executive suites to entrepreneurs who are looking to take that next step. We offer secure individual internet, parking, utilities, security, VoIP phones, private office space, common area use, top of the line AV equipment, professional image, networking opportunities at very affordable prices.

Kristen Ulmer is a thought leader on fear and anxiety who draws from her tenure as the most fearless woman – extreme skier in the world for 12 years.  Kristen has been studying Zen for 16 years, and from facilitating thousands of clients on flow and peak performance.

Her book is called “The Art of Fear: Why Conquering Fear Won’t Work and What to Do Instead.”  Kriston has radically challenged existing norms about what to do about fear.

Kristen facilitates and keynote speeches about fear and anxiety all over the world in fact some of your clients include Google, Citigroup, Olympic athletes, and the US Air Force.

More About Kristen Ulmer

Hall of Fame Class of 2018

Among men and women, Ulmer was a pioneer of extreme in the 1990s, one of the best big-mountain skiers ever. Just don’t call her “fearless.”

No other member of the Hall of Fame has such clear bookends to a career as Kristen Ulmer, the original female freeskiing icon who created a profession and persona that upended the all-male world order and inspired thousands of women to follow.

“I became famous in one day,” she recalls, recounting the story of persuading ski filmmaker Eric Perlman to allow her into one of his films; the frigid, overnight drive from her home in Salt Lake City to Squaw Valley in a heater-less car; the sleepless nap in the pre-dawn base area parking lot; and, finally, huddling above the famous Palisades cliff bands with a handful of testosterone-charged superstars ready to go big. She attempted and landed three huge backscratchers that January day in 1989, leading the other athletes to gush that they’d never seen a female skier do anything like it.

“By that evening, everyone at Squaw knew my name,” Ulmer says. “Within a week, everyone in the ski industry knew my name. Within a month, I was fully sponsored, and all four major American ski magazines had called to request an interview.”

Ulmer quickly realized she had the opportunity of a lifetime, with just the right personality, just the right look, and just the right “twisted relationship” with fear to pull it off. She also had a couple of secrets. Even though she would make the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team in moguls, she claims she wasn’t a very good skier yet, just extremely comfortable in the air. And she was unimpressed, actually kind of ticked off, with earning that label as the “best woman you’ve ever seen.”  READ MORE …

Kim was a senior advertising executive for a popular Colorado magazine, creating several popular community leader print campaigns, along with her own cancer print campaigns.

“What made me successful in each of my ventures, was my ability to market my own businesses. I like to have fun. I think in the margins. I am always trying to think how I can turn an experience into something new and creative that will make people think”.

Kim likes to camp and canoe. Her favorite string instrument is the cello and aspires to learn to play someday. She would like to travel the world.

NYU Dr. Michael Recht/ Facebook AI: Nafissa Yaku/bova

We are hearing more about AI every day now and there has been an AI Breakthrough from NYU Langone Health and Facebook AI to Significantly Accelerate MRI Scans

So, let’s find out “How fast MRI Would Be Better for Patients, Broaden Access to Scans, and Potentially Change How MRIs are Used”

ABOUT fastMRI:

FastMRI is a joint research project from NYU Langone Health and Facebook AI to advance AI and enable faster MRI scans.

FastMRI takes a very different approach than most research in AI for medical imaging. Unlike most projects, which try to use AI to automatically detect anomalies, Facebook is using AI to create accurate medical images from much less data.

The FastMRI team has developed AI that can create MRI images from just a fraction of the raw data previously required. The code will be open-sourced so other researchers and MRI scanner manufacturers can build on and further test it.

This rigorous clinical study shows FastMRI can work in the real world. With 4x less data, FastMRI creates images are as diagnostically accurate traditional MRIs.

Faster MRI scans will be better for patients, clinics, and communities, and could even enable new use cases for MRIs.
