Bradley J. Lloyd is a second-generation owner/operator for Lloyd Construction Company, Inc.  Raised in the industry, Brad learned the construction business from his dad at an early age. Throughout his upbringing, Brad would accompany his father to the job site and listen and learn as his father explained what was happening in each stage of construction.  When he was old enough, Brad joined the work crews out in the field and learned a variety of trades, also acquiring his accreditation with the American Concrete Institute Masters Training. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Western New Mexico University, and then returned to Lloyd Construction to continue his career.  Eventually, Brad made his way into the office and has served as lead estimator, project engineer, and project manager. In 2004, Brad became Vice President of Lloyd Construction, alongside his brother Bill, who is President.

Together, they carry on the family tradition of delivering award-winning, high-quality, and value-driven projects to the Arizona market.  Brad enjoys nothing more than doing good for the local community and has served on a number of Boards, including the Tucson Boys Chorus, Southern Arizona ABA, Arizona Construction Trades, the Arizona Cancer Center, 14 years as a Board Member and coach for Tucson Youth Athletics, a member of the CAPLA and Lloyd Scholarship Committee, and an active member and contributor to the Arizona 4-H Youth Development Program.

A great part of their success today – and what makes Lloyd stand out from the crowd – is the personal attention, consideration, and passion that Brad lends to every project.

If A Loved One Was Murdered or Hurt Badly, Would You Seek Revenge or Offer Forgiveness?

Dr. Buck Blodgett, who wrote A Message from Jessie  and founded The LOVE>hate Project (www.ligth.org) after his daughter was raped and murdered.

Most people would tell you that it is hard to forgive after a tragic event. Some people will forgive easily while others will look to seek revenge.

He founded the LOVE>Hate Project after his daughter was murdered in her home by a friend. Her name was Jessie.

He has turned the tragedy into a mission that could help others? It is an effort to end male violence against women.

Dr. Buck Blodgett, wrote A Message from Jessie and founded The LOVE>hate Project (www.ligth.org) after his daughter was murdered. The book can be bought on Amazon.

Many people who suffer personal tragedies don’t want to talk about it, yet you not only did Doctor Blodgett talk about it, but he turned it into a mission. Why? Each day in the United States women are victims of all types of violence at the hands of men – murder, domestic abuse, sexual assault – yet too often as a nation, we take little or no notice.

Her death left Blodgett stunned, shocked and filled with anguish, yet also inspired him to do all he can to prevent such horrors from happening to others.

As he says, “It’s too late for Jessie, but not too late for millions of girls and women,” “My question is: How many more Jessies will there be before we get the job done?”

Dr. Buck Blodgett is the author of A Message from Jessie and is the Founder of The LOVE>hate Project (www.ligth.org). He also has been in family chiropractic practice since 1996 and is the founder of The Chiropractic & Wellness Group, and Wellness Drs. He and his wife, Joy, were the parents of Jessie, who was murdered when she was 19. Since her death, Blodgett has worked to end violence and to educate, motivate, and inspire young minds to choose love over hate. He speaks nationally in schools, conferences, and prisons.

D&H AC: AIR CONDITIONING SERVICE IN TUCSON

Social Media: D&H Facebook | D&H Instagram
Other: https://dandhac.com/ac-technicians-training-facility/

Brett Wright grandfather Arthur Duhamel and partner Harry Hawk founded the company in Tucson back in 1959. He says he literally grew up in the business tagged around with his grandpa by age 6 and by his teen years, he was “digging ditches and working in the shop, before studying business at the U of A.”

Brett bought the company in 1987. And now, as D&H celebrates its 60th anniversary, the family-owned business continues to provide consistent, high quality, expert HVAC services throughout Southern Arizona.

In fact, the company is doing an exciting first as they are in the process of opening a state-of-the-art technicians’ training center, which will benefit the industry, workforce development and its clients at all levels, including superior 24/7 service, full financing, and coverage of all brands. Word has it that Four core values set D&H Air Conditioning and Heating apart from the competition:  Service; Innovation; Knowledge; and Experience.

This facility is a complete house INSIDE a huge commercial facility at 3990 S. Evans Blvd in Tucson. It’s never been done before in Tucson – or anywhere, that we know of.

The new space will include our showroom, training lab, classrooms, call center, and offices. The house will be fully equipped with every residential system we offer, each connected to a control room that can simulate all kinds of system failures– and wired for audio and video so training techs can see a playback of visits with roleplaying ‘homeowners’ to self-assess their technical and communication skills. This will be a place where young people will be able to build a well-paying career without four-year college experience.

With our training lab and training house, we will be able to continuously train our technicians and help improve their skills to make sure our customers receive the best service every time.

The air conditioning industry is undergoing a major technological change benefiting homeowners: more comfortable homes, lower energy bills, more flexible and durable A/C systems.

Small A/C operators are bound to disappear, unable to keep up with the level of training, mobility, and service required by equipment makers and consumers. D&H AC is well prepared for this, with large investments in hiring, training, equipment, and technology. Our clients benefit from this at all levels, including 24/7 service, full financing, and coverage of all brands.

Dorie has been in the magazine industry for over 20 years, starting in magazines for the multi-family industry. She worked for the Apartment Guide as a salesperson and then Publisher. In 2004, Dorie and her former business partner started Apartment Showcase. They later sold to Apartment Finder in 2007 where Dorie stayed on as Publisher until starting Green Living Magazine. Green Living Magazine was a business opportunity that brought her back to her roots.  Dorie grew up in NJ in a home with an acre garden and always loved changing of the seasons. However, it was witnessing the birth of baby cow as a foreign exchange student in Espelette France that changed her life and shaped a deep appreciation of the earth. Dorie is very passionate about an eco-conscious lifestyle and sustainability because she has lost all of her immediate family members to cancer, dementia, and medications going toxic in their body. She takes it as a personal mission to teach everyone that there are simple solutions that they can do in their daily life to create change and make an impact.

Jeremy Neis is an Investment Advisor with Retirement Evolutions and a small business operator fueled by the desire to enrich the life experience. He grew up in the Chicago area and chased the sun to get a degree at the University of Arizona in human and organizational communications. After doing so, he returned to Illinois where over the next 15 years he would find joy in co-launching and growing a technology solutions company and establishing a family. In 2014 he returned to the desert to join his current venture, Retirement Evolutions, where his focuses are: (1) Conduct planning with individuals and families so that they can maximize the likelihood of leading secure and comfortable retirements. (2) Through the business services arm, Resourceful, empower business leaders to care for the people that they will rely upon to be thriving, sustainable organizations.

Jeremy is a proud contributor to the Conscious Capitalism movement as he views it as a powerful vehicle to bring about greater prosperity and reduced suffering for our human family. Over his career, he has had the privilege to work closely with hundreds of different enterprises across many markets and industries. A common theme emerges among those firms that he’s seen excel and that is to be great not just with what they are bringing to market, but also with the manner in which they are doing so.
