1840 E. Winsett Street
Tucson, AZ 85719
cheri@cherisdesertharvest.com

Cheri Romanoski is a native Tucsonan who grew up appreciating the desert and its natural resources. Born to hard working parents, preserving what grew in our surroundings became a hobby and family pastime.

As an elementary teacher in Tucson, Cheri taught children about the flora and fauna of the Sonoran Desert and how Native Americans survived on its bounty. She later utilized this knowledge to preserve many fruits grown on her property to provide her husband and three children with all-natural, healthy preserves. The excess production was given to neighbors. Soon, the neighbors began sending over unusual fruit grown on their own property for her to preserve for them. Payment for this favor came in the way of special homemade goodies made in their own kitchens. As a result, Cheri learned how to make many different varieties of preserves, some of which she continues to make for her own business today. Since 1985, her home spun hobby has blossomed into a national and international business.

Cheri continues to take extra care with each product by hand harvesting, processing and preparing all of her products in small quantities to ensure product quality and integrity. She still uses no artificial flavoring, coloring or preservatives, just nature’s finest fruits and vegetables. Cheri’s numerous accomplishments have earned her recognition as a 2019 finalist for the Women of Influence Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
