In its continuing efforts to promote the finance of non-profits as well as public and private companies, CFOradio is pleased to present today’s broadcast interview with Laura Moore, Founder and CEO of Dream House for Medically Fragile Children (www.dreamhouseforkids.org).
A former pediatric nurse, Laura Moore developed Dream House to train and empower families to care for medically fragile children at home, improve their quality of life, and benefit the State of Georgia, the tax payers and healthcare institutions by providing a more efficient and effective way to care for children with critical, continuing medical needs. Through Dream House, families and care givers are provided with educational programs and unique teaching environments in specially-equipped and accessible homes; communities are made aware of the lives and needs of medically fragile children; and opportunities are created for Corporate and Community Partnerships focused on improving the quality of life for medically fragile children and their families.
In today’s interview, Laura discusses some of the strategic finance options that have helped keep her non-profit organization in operation since 2001. Corporate donation programs, special fundraisers, and the generosity of individual volunteers and donors are at the heart of what keeps Dream House for Kids going.
