BRX Pro Tip: Try Direct Mail Transcript
Stone Payton: [00:00:00] And we are back with BRX Pro Tips. Lee Kantor, Stone Payton here with you, Lee, you’ve mentioned lately a couple of times this idea of trying direct mail. What do you have in mind?
Lee Kantor: [00:00:11] I grew up in direct mail. One of the first things I’ve ever did was to use postcards as a way to market myself as a copywriter when I first started getting into the advertising business. And I’m a big fan of direct mail and especially in today’s world where nobody gets anything in the mail. If you send them something nice, a postcard, especially, even one with their picture on it from the studio, that will stand out.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:34] You’ll really make a mark in their memory and they’ll think very highly of you. It’s a great add to your kind of marketing mix. So, staying in front of your clients and prospective clients. There’s a lot of tools out there that make this very, very easy. SendOutCards is one I know you’ve used in the past. Recently, we stumbled on another company that does a similar service called, SendJim. What are your thoughts, Stone, about executing something like this?
Stone Payton: [00:01:00] Well, I’ll tell you what I like about it, two things. One, it’s more automated than you might think. It’s kind of the best of both worlds, at least SendOutCards and SendJim is. There are things you can do kind of electronically to manage everything. But then, the end product does something, physical, something tangible. And what I like about that is you are absolutely profiting from the law of contrast. It is so different than what so many people are out there doing. Anytime you can invoke the law of contrast, I say go for it.
Lee Kantor: [00:01:32] It’s perfect for surprise and delight moments for your clients, your guests, and your prospects. So, give it a go.
