Kile Lewis/oXYGen Financial

What’s the scoop about oXYGen Financial? “Guitar Hero” is to a financial services firm what a treasure chest full of toys is to a dentist’s chair: it doesn’t change the office operation, but at least it makes you quit yer snivelin’. Face it, kids, we all have to do our financial planning and our income taxes unless we want to get cavities. No, wait. That’s not it. We all have to do taxes lest we end up like Wesley Snipes. The way they see it at oXYGen Financial, you might as well have financial advisors that are not only good at planning your future, but also deliver your experience with a twist of fun… and an oxygen bar in the lobby just in case you need a last-minute happy boost before you get down to business with them.

oXYGen Financial is a full service family office offering financial services for the X and Y generations. Their mission is to help clients breathe easier about life by providing financial advice, wealth management, insurance, group benefits and tax and accounting services. oXYGen Financial also offers coordination of legal services and concierge services. They aren’t your parent’s firm, but oXYGen Financial can help you breathe easier… and it will feel a lot less like having teeth pulled. Take a spin today!

Paul Kendig/Dinova

Dinova brings corporations and restaurants together in a formal business relationship. Their corporations dine at the preferred restaurants that are on the program.

Mike Haswell/Storing Treasures

Storing Treasures is dedicated to providing new and unique options regarding financial coaching. Rather than assuming everyone responds to handling finances in the same manner, Storing Treasures recognizes each person’s unique financial personality regarding money. The Financial Personality Assessment is the cornerstone of the entire Storing Treasures program. Our financial personalities are driven by specific traits that define how we think and how we behave financially.  In order to reach many more people with the Storing Treasures approach, they have developed a new web-based program called STAFF (Storing Treasures Automated Financial Foundation). STAFF is a unique, one of a kind educational platform designed to provide the user with a personalized plan. It is an 8 session course that allows the individual to learn about educational topics and then input their own information into a secure environment. Individuals can then get a personalized report, based on their own financial personality, that they can use time and time again.  Once you understand how you and those around you are wired from a financial standpoint, you can make better decisions that will ultimately lead to better communication, lower debt, higher savings and improvement in your finances.

Storing Treasures promotes this program to employers, financial professionals, churches and non-profits as a way for these organizations to provide a new program for those they serve.  Statistics show the incredible amount of time people worry about their finances in any given day… leading to stress-related illnesses, absenteeism and a lack of productivity. Your organization will become stronger by offering a way for people to get the basic financial help and support they need…. helping them become a better employee.

200 Peachtree is a place where memories linger… and are still yet to be made. A beautifully restored, living tribute to glamour, style and the elegance of a bygone era. A destination designed to showcase life’s celebrations, both large and small.

Established as a historical landmark and heralded for its grandeur and magnificence, 200 Peachtree has been known for its innovation and beauty since its beginning. Built in 1927 on a vein of granite from Stone Mountain, the building opened as Davison’s department store and was renovated in the 1980s for Macy’s. Today, 200 Peachtree still serves as an impressive facility that is host to a variety of clients and events. Whether you are planning an intimate gathering or a large social function, we will assist you with every detail to make your event a memorable success.

Situated on Peachtree Street in the heart of downtown Atlanta, affordable 200 Office offers a prime location for conducting business that is both convenient and inexpensive- especially when compared to leased downtown office space.

Adjacent to the Westin Peachtree Plaza, across the street from the Ritz-Carlton and MARTA Peachtree Center and within walking distance to CNN, the World Congress Center and America’s Mart, there is no workspace with better accessibility.

Along with this ideal setting, 200 Office provides a comfortable, state-of-the-art, urban loft venue that is the perfect place to work, meet and network complete with the latest in cutting edge technology in 7,700 square feet of space. Glass-walled private meeting rooms are equipped with flat-screen monitors, teleconferencing pods and full-wall greaseboards.

Built in 1927, the historic Macy’s building is the ideal location for this innovative flex-office space.

Stage2 – The Bridge Between Incubation and the Real World

Business incubators are a relatively new force in developing businesses. In 1980, there were 12 in North America. By the end of 2006, there were more than 1,400. Many incubators are housed in colleges, universities and government agencies, and they help entrepreneurs develop concepts into products.

Business accelerators, such as Stage2, are an even newer phenomenon. Backed by a private / public partnership with its local community, they help new companies commercialize and expand their products and services by building a strong corporate operational infrastructure that is sustainable through every business stage.

The Stage2 Business Accelerator is a 501(c)6 corporation whose mission is to provide business resources to help Georgia based young high-growth-potential companies succeed, which in turn will create jobs, increase the community tax base and improve quality of life. The Stage2 Business Accelerator main goal is to make our community a “live, work, play” environment.

The Stage2 Business Accelerator believes entrepreneurial companies require three areas of organizational support to be successful:

1. Practical and methodical education to help entrepreneurs learn the skills necessary to succeed.

2. An upfront agreed upon “Business Roadmap” of tasks to be learned and completed

3. An outside Advisory Board in appropriate functional areas to support the organization.

We partner with entrepreneurs, community service providers and capital resources to support our companies’ growth and sustainability as viable organizations able to grow and flourish.

Elizabeth Gordon & Amber O'Neal

My first guest in the studio with me was Amber O’Neal.  Amber is a certified personal trainer & nutrition expert, and the owner of Café Physique, an Atlanta-based fitness & nutrition business. Café Physique specializes in mobile personal training, yoga, pilates and nutrition programs designed to meet the healthy lifestyle needs of clients in the privacy and convenience of their homes. With over 8 years of experience, Amber is well-respected by her peers in the health and wellness community.

Her television appearances include CBS, NBC and FOX affiliates as well as the NBC Nightly News.

Amber talked about how she started Café Physique, why she decided to pursue a mobile service model and what the benefits have been and what they do.

She also talked about  the biggest challenge with the model and well as her biggest challenge as an entrepreneur.

Amber recently launched AmberONeal.com as a personal branding website that promotes her speaking, writing, and one-on-one weight loss coaching services.  She talked about what led her to that decision to separate her personal brand from the main business.

Café Physique – Who we are and what we do Amber shared tips and success secrets for what she calls “Side-launching” and talked about how to do so with success.  She encourages would be entrepreneurs to build a business on the side before leaving the steady income of their day jobs.

She also talked about the necessity of changing your personal lifestyle in order to survive of lower salary when launching a business, the benefits of running a mobile business (bringing the services to the client) – and how to make this challenge to opportunity leap of thinking.

We also discussed Who you are vs. What you do:  When it is better to separate or combine business and personal brands…and how to create a personality (personal branding) apart from your company.

My next fabulous guest was Jacqui Rosshandler, owner of Jacquean Products, LLC

and creator of Eat Whatever www.eat-whatever.com

Jacqui talked about her product, how she came up with the idea and how she went from concept to actual product.  She talked about the science behind how it works and why and how she recognized this unique niche in the marketplace.

Jacqui talked about how she has marketed Eat Whatever, and how she’s been able to land some pretty great media coverage.

We talked about where Eat Whatever is currently available www.eat-whatever.com

and what’s next.

Jacqui revealed what the biggest challenge has been and her biggest surprise about being a business owner as well as her own personal growth in the process of building her company.

After 2 years in a business up against multi-national companies she has learned what works, what doesn’t and how to maintain your motivation (and sanity) working for yourself in a market you have little experience in.  Check out Eat Whatever @ www.eat-whatever.com
