How It Works
We will be running the networking session for approx 20-30 businesses, each person will spend 2-3 minutes (depending on final numbers) with each participant.  We would ask participants to prepare a short pitch about themselves, company details and what you are looking to get out of the event.  You may wish to summarize your information on paper with your contact details and give a copy to each participant to refer to after the event, after all, they will have met a lot of new contacts in a short space of time, so make yourself memorable!

Benefits Of Business-To-Business Speed Networking
•    The main purpose of the speed networking is to meet lots of new contacts in a short space of time-saving valuable time and money
•    Within a few minutes, you can decide if you wish to spend more time with that company/person during the main forum networking events and if there is a possibility of a business relationship
•    Helps maximize your time at the forum making sure you meet the people that can offer you real business opportunities
•    If you take into account each participants business contacts, you are potentially connecting with hundreds of relevant industry people
•    Increases your networking profile within the industry
•    People like to do business with people they have met and like
•    A great icebreaker, the informal format takes the awkwardness out of traditional networking; it is a fun and easy way to meet a wide variety of people.

Empowering your loved ones to pursue the safest, most naturally derived treatments to enable their health and well-being.

Natural Relief

The most consistent and pure products available means knowing exactly what you’re getting in our products. Our plants are grown in the largest cannabis greenhouse in the state of Florida with no harmful chemicals or harmful ingredients.

We provide you with the safest, most consistent ingredients, cultivated by hand and blended specifically for medical benefits. Time after time you get superior quality and the most effective natural relief available.

Industry Leading
Purity

We lead the industry with 90%+ pure cannabis oil. That’s because we take refinement further than other medical cannabis companies in order to produce the most pure, unadulterated cannabis oil possible. While others extract and refine at a basic level, leaving unwanted waxes and plant-matter, we strip away all the unwanted elements. What we’re left with is beautifully refined, purified golden-hued cannabis oil, unlike any in the industry.

CONSISTENTLY BETTER

Effect-Driven Products
Instead of Strains

Strain names have long been the only way to roughly communicate the general effects of cannabis varieties, however recent studies show that each individual strain’s genetics actually varies quite widely from greenhouse to greenhouse, harvest-to-harvest, and even plant-to-plant based upon the individual micro-climate.

We’ve joined a growing number of medical cannabis companies that are choosing to produce a more consistent product that doesn’t rely solely upon strains, but instead goes deeper and combines the pure THC and CBD cannabinoids and targeted terpenes into precise ratios to ensure our products deliver consistent effects and medical benefits in each and every dose, so that you’ll never have to worry.

DR. SARAH LEATHERMAN

CHIROPRACTOR & Owner at Integrity Weight Loss Center

Here’s something you may not know about me and why I’m so committed to giving back.

Let me provide some back story. I grew up in a rural Oregon town, a mere speck on the map and no stop lights. Well versed in my ABC’s, I skipped kindergarten and began 1st grade at age 5. While I excelled academically, I was physically awkward through my teen years. My graduating class was less than 35 students, so any school activity or sport basically required everyone’s participation to stay viable. So I played volleyball, basketball and ran track. But my favorite sport was joining the cheerleading squad my Junior year. I loved cheering on other people.

Despite being involved in sports throughout the school year, looking back, I was “the sick kid”. You know, the one that got knocked down by a cold or strep throat several times per year and I suffered with acne. I took dozens of rounds of antibiotics all while trying to keep up with the demands from academics, sports and other school programs. All of these activities kept me busy and I was used to pushing through the stress and illnesses.

College was an exciting change! So many new people and experiences at the University of Oregon. I continued to push myself academically with many hours of late night studying and take-out pizza. By the time I was ready to graduate, I had packed on the “Freshman Fifteen” and then some. I also continued to get sick and suffered from seasonal allergies and daily migraines.

I had TWO things that happened my Senior year that proved to be significant life events. First, a friend introduced me to her Chiropractor. With my first adjustment, my health began to change. My constant headaches were gone and my allergies improved. Second, I changed my major to Psychology & Women’s Studies. Again, I love communicating with people and have a passion for inspiring and empowering women. To graduate on time, I had to take 18-20 credits per quarter. To round out my graduation requirements, I took a weekend seminar on nutrition. I was fascinated to learn how to feed my body for healing and the importance of protein. I had stopped eating animal protein for several years and didn’t know anything about vegetarian sources of protein. No wonder my immune system was shot! This was my launching point for the beginning of my career.

From there, I moved to Kansas City to attend Cleveland Chiropractic College. There I met my future husband and we completed our doctorate program in 2003. I was awarded a Clinical Excellence Award and further developed my passion for women’s health, with a clinical focus on pregnant women and babies.

In 2005, we were thrilled to discover I was pregnant with our oldest son. My nutrition was on point and I exercised regularly throughout my pregnancy. Then, I had a baby. And as many new mothers can attest, my needs took a back burner and I wasn’t exercising or eating as well as I should. Then, I had another baby. And the lactation diet didn’t work as well this time. I was overweight, exhausted and subsisting on coffee and carbs.

Then I attended a weekend workshop and heard this, “you can’t be an authentic physician, advising patients to eat right and exercise if you’re not doing it yourself.” Ouch. Right through the heart. That Monday, I made the decision to invest in my health and called and made an appointment with a personal trainer. I had never done consistent weight training and was intimidated to use that section of the gym. During that first assessment, I couldn’t do a sit up or push up and my sweat smelled like greasy French fries. I was in really poor shape. But I committed to training 3x/week and my trainer was a wonderful accountability partner. As I gained strength I also gained confidence. I was no longer that awkward teenager and in fact was even able to do handstand pushups!

At age 38, I was feeling healthier and stronger then I had in my whole life. My trainer encouraged me to compete in a fitness competition. I thought, “No way!!!” But it’s funny how an idea will take root and I committed to 12 weeks of training for a competition. I hired a competition coach that aligned with my values: No crazy diets. No artificial sweeteners. No appetite suppressants. No metabolic stimulants. No hours and hours of boring cardio. Only real food and quality workouts.

At age 38, with a body that birthed two children, I won 2nd place amongst women half my age!

While my stage photos looked awesome, what I’m most proud of is the 12 week journey leading up to the 30 seconds on stage. That’s where the interesting part of the story is. Do you know my secret? Consistency. As my coach would always say, “Just follow the plan.” I meal prepped on Sundays. I would create workout “challenges” with my kids outside. I included my family on my journey. They didn’t see Mom “on a diet”…they saw Mom nourishing her body and modeling healthy food choices while pursuing her fitness goals.

In the end, this was a GREAT experience for me because it demonstrated just how powerful food alone can be and what you can do when you put your mind to it. I made simple, practical and consistent changes and I didn’t starve myself.

Whatever health challenge you may be facing and however dire your needs are for improved weight and improved health, there is an answer out there. My mission is to help people achieve their health goals as quickly as possible in a safe and supportive environment and enjoy lifetime results, thereby improving the overall health of our community and building a culture of wellness and vitality through optimal nutrition. With regular success visits, follow up body composition analysis, daily texting support, whole foods recipes and DNA testing, we are geared to help you celebrate success!

Yours In Health,

Dr. Sarah Leatherman

THE REASON FOR OUR SUCCESS

The reason we have so much success with weight loss at Integrity Weight Loss Center is because we know that everyone’s reason for weight gain can be completely different. Weight gain for some patients results from stress or poor lifestyle choices, and for others it can be more complicated. It’s not uncommon for us to find that some people are pre-diabetic and need assistance with handling blood sugars. Others may struggle with weight loss because of infections or conditions like Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis.

At Integrity Weight Loss Center, we follow the Lifetime Metabolic Program for fat loss. Additionally, as part of this program we utilize Genetic Testing to determine the right plan for you. A well-known clinical study was performed by one of America’s top universities, Stanford University, to determine if DNA testing was effective to assist in helping people to lose weight. When compared to other well-established and effective weight loss programs, those people that were on a meal plan that was specific to their genetic profile lost 2.5 times more weight than those that were not on an individualized plan. The science clearly speaks for itself. This is the reason why we utilize genetic testing to identify the best plan for you. This allows us to put the control back in your hands! For the rest of your life, you will know how to eat and to be as healthy as possible. The test is completely painless, non-invasive, and an imperative part of your focused lifestyle change.

Laurie Murphy

Host: Laurie Murphy

Executive Director/Coastkeeper

Emerald Coastkeeper

As a member of Waterkeepers Alliance, we strive to maintain drinkable, fishable, swimmable waters for our community.

You can start tuning in to “PURE H2O” every Wednesday at 9AM CST on Pensacola Business RadioX. Every Wednesday there will be a local discussion on important environmental points of interest. From clean energy to healthy water to environmental justice, education and much more.

For our first podcast, Laurie Murphy, Executive Director of Emerald Coastkeeper will be interviewing local educators and a non-profit organization “Harnessing Opportunity and Power of Education (HOPE) about the importance of supplemental STEM education and art/cultural education in underserved communities.

For more information on how you can be a guest, contact Laurie Murphy at laurie@emeraldcoastkeeper.org.

Founded in 1999, Emerald Coastkeeper is one of 240 (and counting) member organizations of the Waterkeeper Alliance. We are a grassroots organization that monitors four main watersheds in the Florida Panhandle. Our mission is to investigate, educate and protect our right to swimmable. fishable and drinkable water. We believe that healthy waterways are directly connected to healthy communities and healthy people.

In our four watersheds, you will find many springs, creeks, rivers, bayou’s, bays and of course, the Gulf of Mexico.

Pollution can happen anywhere, not just from large industries. Some of the greatest concerns in our region stem from residential pollution.

Some of the more common culprits are septic system failure, erosion and sedimentation, nutrient loading from fertilizers, red tide, heavy metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls, (PCBs) lead, mercury, animal wastes, industrial paint source discharge, oil spills, commercial vessel pollution, residential development, and household garbage.

Protecting our waterways and drinking water from contaminants is everyone’s responsibility. We can’t do it alone…we need your help!

Feel free to contact us if you want to volunteer or to report a problem. We look forward to creating a healthy community with you!

About Tower Drones

Based out of Pensacola Florida, we are an award winning and FAA exempt video production company that specializes in aerial photography and cinematography. Using safe, reliable multi rotor copters, we provide our customers with stunning, high resolution aerial photos and video.  Our top-of-the-line heavy lifting copters are safe and dependable.

Drones, also known as unmanned aerial vehicles, are autonomous or remotely-operated aircraft. Compared to traditional aircraft, they offer vastly increased manueverability and can operate at much lower altitudes, which means crisper, clearer images and more control over your footage. We use only the very best in commercial drone technology, which allows us to offer our customers the highest-quality images at a fraction of the cost of traditional aerial photographers.

This is exciting new technology that has the potential to completely revolutionize a number of industries. Farmers and real estate companies can get clearer, closer footage of their property without the massive costs associated with old-fashioned aerial surveying. Event promoters can capture their concert or festival in stunning high definition video from angles never before thought possible.

We’re located in the Southeast but travel globally for our clients. Our services are available to anyone interested in helping their business take flight, no matter where they are. Don’t waste money on outdated technology and inferior products. Let us help take your business to the next level. With our help, the sky is the limit.

Back Office Betties's Profile Photo

Our CEO and Founding Bettie, Emily LaRusch has felt the entrepreneurial bug since she was a child. She got her start in elementary school when she directed the neighborhood kids in a talent show and charged parents admission to watch their kids perform. As an adult she worked for fortune 500 companies and loved sharing ideas and executing process improvements and product development as an intrapreneur.

While working on a IT project in the finance sector she spent most of her days on project calls but needed to arrange services of a carpet cleaner and landscaper for her home. On a rare break, she called multiple companies and no one answered. She called company after company until she was able to book services. One company called her back later and they said “Hey, I have a missed call from you. Do you want carpet cleaning?” Initially she was annoyed by the impersonal and unprofessional experience but after a few days a light bulb went off. This was the perfect opportunity to marry her passion for service, love of small businesses and knack for IT to become the voice of small businesses across the US and Canada! In October 2013, she put the idea onto paper as she formed a business plan and the rest is history.

I hold many hats as most women do! By day, an Account Manager for an International Technology Company, by night a dance teacher and also a wife and mother to two amazing boys. I am a dancer and an artist.  As I was introduced to Mom’s Making Six Figures, I found a way to supplement an additional income so that I could start paying off our debt. When you don’t have any debt, you have options. Options lead to freeing up my time, while still having an income that won’t change our lifestyle. Hopefully it will improve it! I am ready to start slowing down and really enjoying my life and my family. The day to day struggles of juggling a high stress career and trying to balance that with family have left me gasping for air at times. Moms Making Six Figures has really opened my eyes to a calm that I didn’t know could exist! www.momsmakingsixfigures.com

Carrie Fonder / University of West Florida, Department of Art

Carrie Fonder currently teaches art and art appreciation at the University of West Florida.  Before coming to UWF in 2015, she taught at several institutions in the greater Detroit Metro Area, including the College for Creative Studies, and was the director of the Summer Art Studio at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay.

The Before I Die Wall is a participatory public art project created by New Orleans artist Candy Chang: http://candychang.com/work/before-i-die-in-nola/

Before I Die

BEFORE I DIE IS A PARTICIPATORY PUBLIC ART PROJECT that invites people to contemplate death, reflect on life, and share their personal aspirations in public. After losing someone she loved, Chang channeled her grief and depression into this project on an abandoned house in her New Orleans neighborhood to restore perspective and find consolation with her neighbors. She covered the crumbling house with chalkboard paint and stenciled it with the prompt, “Before I die I want to _____.” The wall quickly filled up with responses, from the poetic to the profound: Before I die I want to… see my daughter graduate, abandon all insecurities, get my wife back, eat all the candy and sushi in the world, be a Youtube sensation, straddle the International Date Line, tell my mother I love her, be completely myself.

The wall gained global attention and many people have contacted Chang about creating a wall in their own community. Chang created a project sitewith step-by-step resources and thanks to passionate people around the world, over 1,000 Before I Die walls have now been created in over 70 countries, including Iraq, China, Brazil, Kazakhstan, and South Africa.  Revealing the community’s longings, anxieties, joys, and struggles, the project explores how public space can cultivate self-examination and empathy among neighbors and compassionately prepare us for death and grief. It has also inspired dozens of remixes that offer new ways to engage with the people around us. The Before I Die book is a celebration of these walls and the stories behind them. See much more on the project site and follow the latest Before I Die walls and responses on Twitter,Instagram, and Facebook.

2011, New Orleans, LA. Chalkboard paint, spray paint, chalk, abandoned house. 41′ x 8′. With permission from the property owner, residents of the block, the neighborhood association’s blight committee, the Historic District Landmarks Commission, the Arts Council of New Orleans, and the City Planning Commission. Installation assistance by Kristina Kassem, Cory Klemmer, Anamaria Vizcaino, James Reeves, Alan Williams, Alex Vialou, Earl Carlson, and Gary Hustwit.
