About Blues Angel Music

Blues Angel Music (BAM) was founded in August of 1997 by retired Navy Captain and fighter pilot Jim DeStafney. He and his wife Nan, a retired Navy forensics officer, have grown the store from its one-man, 1,000 square foot beginnings into a 15,000 square foot, full-line music store, complete with a fully-staffed school of music.

Serving the Pensacola area, Blues Angel Music provides an impressive selection of new, used, and vintage gear for the beginner and the professional musician alike. In addition to our selection of new, used, and vintage gear, and Blues Angel Music’s School of Music, BAM has become Pensacola’s best choice for band and orchestra instrument sales and rentals.

We have been named a NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Top 100 Dealer 5 years running and we’ve also been voted Best of the Bay. These awards are due to our friendly staff of experts who are eager to provide information and advice relating to any of the instruments and accessories we offer. It is the goal of every crew member at Blues Angel Music to be the Gulf Coast’s “go-to” spot for aspiring musicians as well as gigging professionals.

A Little About Our Foundation:

The Blues Angel Music Foundation aims to make a positive impact on the Greater Pensacola Area through the promotion of music education, instruction, and therapy throughout the lifespan of any and every individual it touches. We will seek out and support organizations, scholarships, and other efforts to engage the mind and body through music. Your donations are hard at work in our community!

American Homicide examines all types of homicide, and gives additional attention to the more prevalent types of murder and suspicious deaths in the United States. Authors Richard M. Hough and Kimberly D. McCorkle employ more than 30 years of academic and practitioner experience to help explain why and how people kill and how society reacts. This compressive text takes a balanced approach combining scholarly research and theory with compelling details about recent cases and coverage of current trends.

Laurie Murphy/Emerald Coast Keeper

Executive Director

Founded in 1999, Emerald Coastkeeper is one of 240 (and counting) member organizations of the Waterkeeper Alliance. We are a grassroots organization that monitors four main watersheds in the Florida Panhandle. Our mission is to investigate, educate and protect our right to swimmable. fishable and drinkable water. We believe that healthy waterways are directly connected to healthy communities and healthy people.

In our four watersheds, you will find many springs, creeks, rivers, bayou’s, bays and of course, the Gulf of Mexico.

Pollution can happen anywhere, not just from large industires. Some of the greatest concerns in our region stem from residential pollution.

Some of the more common culprits are septic system failure, erosion and sedimentation, nutrient loading from fertilizers, red tide, heavy metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls, (PCBs) lead, mercury, animal wastes, industrial paint source discharge, oil spills, commercial vessel pollution, residential development, and household garbage.

Protecting our waterways and drinking water from contaminants is everyone’s responsibility. We can’t do it alone…we need your help!

Feel free to contact us if you want to volunteer or to report a problem. We look forward to creating a healthy community with you!

Donna Kirby / Vice President Operational Development

Pensacola Blue Wahoos

In December 2010, Quint and Rishy Studer announced their purchase of the Carolina Mudcats, the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. The Double-A team will move from Zebulon, North Carolina to Pensacola beginning in 2012. The Pensacola franchise will remain in Minor League Baseball’s Southern League.

“I am extremely proud and excited for the actions that are being announced today,” said Quint Studer. “Bringing affiliated baseball to Pensacola will continue to add to the rich sports history that already exists in the area. Seeing the future stars of Major League baseball in a fun, family friendly atmosphere will bring a new level of enthusiasm for the citizens of Pensacola and Northwest Florida.”

The new home of the Reds Double-A affiliate will be located at Blue Wahoos Park, the premier waterfront mixed use development on the Gulf Coast. The team will play the 2011 season in North Carolina before relocating to the new state-of-the-art facility starting in April of 2012. The Class A-Advanced club moving to North Carolina in 2012 will retain the Carolina Mudcats name.

“The Southern League is one of the most respected leagues within baseball. With this move we are joining several upstanding franchises, including the Mobile BayBears who graciously allowed us to share their territory to make this all possible for the City of Pensacola. It is an honor to be associated with a league that boasts talented alumni like Chipper Jones, Joey Votto, Alex Rodriguez, Tim Hudson and Miguel Cabrera,” added Studer.

Align your story and customer perceptions with rich brand experiences that happen every day

Giving Back

We believe in lifting up small, local not-for-profit groups that have a big impact in our community.

For years, idgroup has partnered with local not-for-profit organizations to fulfill a variety of their branding and organizational development needs. Through our past work, we know that our community is full of compassionate, giving hearts, and we know that building strong identities and increasing awareness for these organizations has had a meaningful impact on our community.

If you’ve ever visited us in our office, you’ve heard the idgroup saying, “Trust the Process.” Looking at our past not-for-profit work, we realized that we were not empowering these organizations with our strongest tool, the idgroup process. Since then, we’ve made a commitment to dedicate our time and talents to a small, local not-for-profit group annually. We commit to building firm foundations that create the most important part of a brand: a strong brand reputation that lasts.

To stay true to our beliefs and impact our community in a big way, we created Brand On Us™. Through the Brand On Us initiative, one deserving not-for-profit group will be chosen each year to receive a comprehensive and integrated brand makeover. During a seven-month Branding from the Core engagement, the selected organization will receive over $100,000 in idgroup services.

Kristin Fairchild is the founder and executive director of Chain Reaction, and has been leading the teen leadership institute for 13 years. She has a Bachelor of Human Sciences, Family and Child Development degree from Auburn University (1992-1996). About Chain Reaction

Chain Reaction is a teen leadership institute with a character education program that uses volunteerism as a teaching tool. They are focused on helping teens become all they can be and learning life’s lessons through volunteering. The organization utilizes each teen’s passion and talent to create volunteer opportunities that are fun and educational. Their scientific approach to service is what makes us different. By mixing our teens like chemicals in laboratory, they create a positive force that impacts the local community. They leverage a proven curriculum to mix their teens with the elements of service—empowering teens to discover their innate strengths and untapped abilities while uniting as a team of connected, committed citizens who aspire to see the good in all things. A day for women, by women!

2016 date

April 30, 2016

Power of E3 © 2015. All Rights Reserved

Annalee Leonard, Founder & President of Mainstay Financial Group had a dream….that dream was to have an annual day of education, enlightenment & empowerment for women in the 55+ age group. In addition, the event would generate donations  to help women that may not be able to afford their own health care. That dream became a reality when Mainstay Financial partnered with Sacred Heart Senior Services to present the first Power of E3 day in March 2014. The successful event was followed by the second E3 day in 2015.  E3 2014 generated a modest donation and E3 2015 resulted in a $5000 donation to Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation!

E3 2016 Annual Day of Education, Enlightenment and Empowerment for  women 55 and over will be even bigger & better!

This women only event with WEAR-TV Anchor Sue Straughn as emcee will feature speakers Kathleen Logan, Annalee Leonard, Suzanne Bush, MD and Laticia “Action” Jackson. Each speaker will focus on topics particular to women 55 years and over.  See the Speaker tab for further information about the speakers.

All net proceeds of  E3 2016 will be  donated to the Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation to benefit women in need of healthcare.
