Bob Ellis/Fulton County Board of Commissioners

Bob Ellis is Vice Chairman of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners and the representative for District 2 that includes Milton and large parts of Alpharetta, Roswell and Sandy Springs. A graduate of the University of Georgia, Bob is also a Senior Vice President at Chubb Insurance, the world’s largest publicly traded insurance company. He and his wife Jennifer have three children and reside in Milton. First elected in 2014, Bob’s current term expires at the end of 2020.

Karen Cashion/Alpharetta Technology Commission

The City of Alpharetta formed the Alpharetta Technology Commission (ATC) in 2012, and the ATC was granted 501c(6) nonprofit trade association status in 2015. At the time of its formation in 2012, the city’s predominant industry was, and continues to be, technology. The ATC’s mission is to identify and pursue key investment opportunities and policy decisions for the city’s technology companies and its robust technology sector. The ATC’s Board is comprised of some of Alpharetta’s leading technology companies, including emerging, intermediate, and enterprise sized companies, along with community partner organizations. The ATC is run by its CEO, Karen Cashion, who reports directly to the ATC Board.

Mayor Jere Wood/City of Roswell

The City of Roswell continues to be a leader in the metro Atlanta area in managing the current and future growth of this wonderful city. Roswell is fortunate to have leaders who concentrate their policy-making into solid guidelines for smart growth and development. The Community Development Department is responsible for carrying out those guidelines. The City has implemented a number of projects that will enhance their community. These projects include receiving a $2.3 million LCI Grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission to fund the redevelopment of the Roswell Midtown from Norcross Street to Commerce Parkway; completion of the Transportation Master Plan; and the Town Square area Design Charettes. The Community Development Department also oversees economic development, building inspection and code enforcement. Roswell’s enforcement of building codes, with respect to apartments, is the model for metro Atlanta.

Dr. Glenn Cannon/Gwinnett Tech

Gwinnett Technical College is one of Georgia’s largest technical colleges and is committed to delivering relevant knowledge to meet the workforce training needs of their community. The college offers more than 150 associate degree, diploma and certificate programs, and hundreds of seminars, workshops and courses providing specialized training. Gwinnett Tech is Gwinnett County’s largest provider of corporate training and also serves residents and businesses in north Fulton County through their new Alpharetta-North Fulton campus.

Rhonda joined the Sirius business development team in September of 2014. Rhonda brings over 10 years’ experience in professional staffing in multiple roles such as recruiting, sales, customer service and human resources. Rhonda studied Healthcare Management at the University of Alabama and has 6 years of experience as an Operations Manager for a Fortune 500 company. When Rhonda is not at work she is involved with Fairhope High School and her community.

Bailee has been with Sirius Technical Services since 2010. She received her BS Degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Alabama in May of 2014 and now works full time as a Technical Recruiter for Sirius. Bailee specializes in IT professional placement as well as different disciplines of Engineering. She is proving she has a keen eye for isolating the “right” employee for the customer.

She supports the company in many ways including developing marketing promotional and social media for the company.

Gretchen Clarke is a college graduate, technology professional, athlete, wife, daughter, sister, and mom.  Currently, she leads the strategic partnerships division for AppRiver, an email and web security cloud service provider who is consistently recognized as one of Florida Trend’s Best Place to Work.  Gretchen has over a decade of technology experience in various areas such as:  ecommerce, interactive media, eLearning, software development, and project management.  Gretchen also has experience in start-up environments where she directed organizational efforts that resulted in award-winning business practices and work cultures.  She has also held positions in advertising, public relations, healthcare, customer service, and her favorite, Space Camp.

At AppRiver, one of Gretchen’s early endeavors was launching “AppRiver University” – the education entity that now guides all employee training and professional development programs combined with the company’s external Partner Certification Program.  Over the last few years, she has been focusing on opportunities that expand AppRiver’s universal footprint and implementing global business strategies with the company’s largest strategic partners.

Gretchen holds a B.S. and M.S., earned All-American honors as an NCAA athlete, remains an aspiring coder, and is a Little League World Series Champion.  Today, she serves on various boards and advisory councils and is an advocate for girls/women in STEM.  She and her husband have a true partnership and are teaching their two daughters the value of hard work and to be brave.  You can read more about her here and follow her on Twitter @iam_gretchen.

Glenda R. Snodgrass has been lead consultant and project manager at The Net Effect since the company’s inception in 1996. She is primarily engaged in network security assessments & training, software implementations and technology project management.

 

Glenda is experienced in managing database applications (litigation support, POS, accounting, ecommerce, CRM/ERP) in the US and in France, and has developed browser-based applications in PHP and mySQL. Dr. Dallas Snider is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of West Florida. He received his Ph.D. in Integrated Computing and M.S. in Instrumental Sciences from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He received a B.A. in Physics from Hendrix College. Before joining UWF, he worked as a data warehouse developer for Northrop Grumman Information Systems and prior to that as a database application developer for Acxiom and Euronet. Dr. Snider’s teaching and research interests include data mining, cybersecurity, information visualization, and software development.
