ATLANTA, GA–(Marketwired – October 16, 2015) – On September 18, 2015, Gwinnett Business Radio welcomed to the studio Eric Hansotia with AGCO and Todd Gerry with Tradebank of Atlanta. Co-hosts Mike Sammond and Steven Julian led a discussion with these guests about their businesses and involvement in the community.
Eric Hansotia is Senior VP of Global Harvesting with AGCO, a leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural solutions. AGCO supports more productive farming through a full line of tractors, combines, hay tools, sprayers, forage equipment, grain storage and protein production systems, seeding and tillage implements and replacement parts. AGCO was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Duluth, GA.
“I work on the product lines all the way from when a farmer starts operations in the spring tilling and planting, then through the summer in managing their crops with spraying and fertilizing, and then harvesting the crops in the fall,” explained Hansotia. “Those are all the crop activities that a farmer does, and the machinery that does those activities is the area I look after.”
Joining in the conversation was Todd Gerry, Regional Director with Tradebank of Atlanta. Tradebank is an international barter exchange company headquartered in Lawrenceville, GA. As a trade/barter organization, Tradebank represents thousands of business owners who trade/barter their products and services to acquire the things they need without having to spend cash. Tradebank completes trades for its clients much like a commercial bank does for checks, or a brokerage firm does for stocks. As an intermediary, Tradebank receives a commission on each trade transaction and saves all parties the trouble and process of collection.
“We represent everything from accountants to zoos,” said Gerry. “So if you can go out there and pay for something with cash, chances are we’re going to be able to find it within out network. We look for companies that have margins on what they do.”
